Ben Maguire is a lifelong horseman with over 50 years in the saddle and a reputation for connecting people and horses in transformative ways. From his early days as a qualified Pony Club instructor, Ben has taught riders of all ages, guiding them from their first steps in the stirrup to confident, capable horsemen and women. Alongside his equestrian expertise, Ben has held senior leadership roles as CEO and Company Director, and is a current serving member in the Australian Defence Force as a leadership coach. His professional leadership experience enriches his horsemanship programs, blending practical riding skills with lessons in communication, trust, and resilience. 

As co-founder of Remount, Ben works extensively with veterans, first responders, and people facing life challenges, using horses as powerful partners in recovery and personal growth. Through the GUNBEN programs, Ben delivers tailored lessons and immersive experiences, catering to all ages and levels of experience. Across his career, he has coached well over 1,000 people in horsemanship with each session grounded in safety, skill, and connection. Whether one-on-one, in groups, or in therapeutic settings, Ben creates a safe, supportive space where horses help people to learn, grow, and thrive.
